Round versus Ribbed
Ribbed Grips:
A ribbed grip has a small ridge running along the bottom. This ridge provides tactile feedback, helping golfers ensure consistent hand placement. It's especially useful for maintaining proper grip alignment throughout your swing.
Round Grips:
Round grips lack this ridge, offering a uniform shape. They allow for versatile hand positioning, catering to golfers who prefer flexibility in their grip.
The core size "58" (0.580") or "60" (0.600") refers to the INSIDE diameter of the grip and typically does not affect the outside diameter. The difference in feel between the 58 (0.580") and 60 (0.600") grip core sizes is usually very subtle and may not be noticeable to most golfers. However, if you install a 58 grip on a 0.600" shaft, the grip will stretch slightly more, making it feel a bit thicker compared to a 60 core grip on the same shaft.
Choosing a grip size that closely matches your shaft's butt diameter is generally the best approach, but ultimately it depends on the golfer's personal preference for feel, comfort, and performance.
